Ephraim Zuckerman
Ephraim Zuckerman is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of management experience in high-tech, aerospace, and defense industries, with specific expertise in the UAV marketplace.
Experience
As General Manager of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) MALAT UAV Division, Mr. Zuckerman led the huge growth of the UAV business size from $60M to $350M in less than 7 years. IAI’s MALAT UAV Division is a world leader in the new field of unmanned systems technology. 80% of the Division’s business is in the international market, and it has 900 employees. Ephraim excels in international cooperation with major worldwide aerospace industries (EADS, TRW, NGC, AAI, OC, Sonaca) and the associated stakeholders’, as is so important while developing new UAV technologies and applications. Ephraim’s leadership efforts brought the MALE UAV (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) into operational use all over the world. For his contribution, Mr. Zuckerman received the Israel Industrial Achievement Award from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Mr. Zuckerman is also the recipient of IAI's Presidental Achievement Honors Award.
Mr. Zuckerman also served as Chairman of the Board of Pioneer UAV, Inc.(PUI), a partnership between IAI and AAI Unmanned Aircraft Systems in the United Sates for the Pioneer UAV system operated by the US Navy.
While serving as CEO of RSL Electronics Ltd., Mr. Zuckerman led the establishment of a new subsidiary and business line for Wind Turbine civil applications. RSL Electronics Ltd. is a publicly traded company with $15M in annual revenues. RSL develops and manufactures airborne utilities control subsystems, diagnostic Health, Usage & Monitoring Systems (HUMS) for helicopters, UAVs, fixed wing aircraft, and wind turbines, as well as power plants, and Muzzle Velocity Radars. Among RSL’s many customers all over the world are US Army, Marines, USAF, IDF, General Dynamics, IAI, German, Singapore, Japan Air Forces etc.
While serving as the Deputy General Manager of IAI’s Military Aircraft Group, Mr. Zuckerman oversaw the activities of 3 unique and diversified business units: Malat Division - development and manufacturing of UAV Systems; Lahav Division - refurbishment of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft, Ground Vehicle Robotics, and manufacturing of aero structures; and Magnet Division – a new business focused on C4I. the combined businesses of IAI’s Military Aircraft Group total a $570M, 80% of in the international market (US, Europe, Far East, South America) with 1800 employees.
